Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province, is called the Spring
City of China. Dali was the old capital of Yunnan from the 8th
to the 13th century. Lijiang is an very beautiful old town with
a lot of well-kept old buildings, it is also a World Culture
Heritage. Zhongdian is regarded as the Shangri-la in recent
years, because it is isolated, peaceful, and primitive, surrounded
by many snow mountains. Many travelers think this is a golden
route in China.

Sightseeing in Stone Forest, which is one of the great nature wonders of China, and is also the largest stone forest in the world. |

Take a morning flight from Kunming to Dali, meet at airport and transfer to your hotel, then go to visit the fascinating Dali Old Town, and the Three Pagodas, which is more than 1000 years old, survived about 400 earthquakes recorded in the history books, and still standing today. After lunch, take a boat cruise on the Erhai Lake, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountain and the lake. |

Drive 2 hours from Dali to Lijiang, a beautiful old town which is a World Culture Heritage, Sightseeing in the Black Dragon Pool and the old town. |

Sightseeing in the Jade Dragon Snow Mt. which is 5596 m high and covered by snow all year round, on the way back, visit Baisha, a typical Naxi village which is famous for its 500 years old fresco and the classical music. |

Drive northwest from Lijiang to Zhongdian, on the way, sightseeing in the Tiger-leaping Gorge, which is 3000 m deep yet only 30 m wide at the narrowest part, from where, the legend said, once a tiger leaped over across Yangtze, thus got the name. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Songzanlin Monastery, which is the largest Tibetan style temple in Yunnan with more than 800 monks and 3 living buddhas living inside. |

Sightseeing in the beautiful Bita Lake and enjoy a half-hour horse riding journey, on the way back, visit a Tibetan village. |

Take a morning flight back to Kunming, sightseeing in the Dragon Gate which consists of some grottoes cut out of the vertical cliff face of the Western Hill, from where, you can enjoy a bird's eye view of Kunming city and the big lake at the foot of the hill. In the afternoon, visit the Golden Temple which is 330 years old and is the largest bronze-made temple in China. |
