Situated in the place
where three provinces (Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi) meet, Luoping
county is easily accessible by Nanning--Kunming railway. The
city is 240 km east of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province.
Luoping covers an area of 3006 square km, inhabited by many
nationalities including the Yi, Miao, and Buyi. Luoping enjoys
a mild and humid climate, suffering
 from neither extreme heat
in summer nor extreme cold in winter. The landscape is dominated
by karst features with small basins among independent green
hills. Luoping has unique natural beauty and abundant local
products which were praised by Mr. Xu Xiake, the greatest traveler
in Ming dynasty. Among the attractions in Luoping are the deep
Lubuge Gorge, picturesque Duoyi River, vast golden fields of
rape, magnificent Nine Dragon Waterfalls, and the exotic customs
of Buyi people.

Arrive in Kunming, meet at airport and transfer to a 4 star hotel. |

Drive 6 hours from Kunming to Luoping, on the way, sightseeing in the Stone Forest which is one of the great nature wonders in China. Stay in a 3 star hotel. |

Trek 10 km to Golden Cock Hills, photographing the golden fields of rape. Then trek 8 km to the Nine Dragon Waterfalls, after lunch, sightseeing at the waterfalls. Stay in a 2 star hotel. |

Drive to Banqiao Town, then trek 28 km to the Lubuge Gorge, after lunch, take a boat cruise through the Mini Three Gorges to the power plant. Stay in a 2 star hotel. |

D5 |
After breakfast, take a boat to visit the village located at the meeting spot of the three provinces, then trek along the Duoyi River for about 15 km, drive back to Luoping, stay in a 3 star hotel. |

Drive back to Kunming, on the way, sightseeing in the Colorful Sand Forest and enjoy a half hour horse riding. Stay in a 4 star hotel in Kunming. |

After breakfast in your hotel, transfer to airport and see you off. |
