Climb the Haba Snow Mountain - The Third Highest Peak In Yunnan |

Haba Snow Mountain
is located to the north of Yangtze River, just opposite Jade
Dragon Snow Mt., between them is famous Tiger-leaping Gorge.
Haba Snow Mt. rise 5396m above sea level, there are 3 big lakes
up the mountain. It is an ideal adventure place with beautiful
scenery. In October l995, our company organized a group to reach
the top of Haba Snow Mt. successfully.

D1 |
Arrive in Kunming, meet at airport and transfer to a 4
star hotel. (1890m) |

D2 |
Take a morning flight from Kunming to Lijiang,
sightseeing in Lijiang old town which is a World Cultural Heritage.
Stay in a 4 star hotel. (2400m) |

D3 |
Drive to Tiger-leaping Gorge, Sightseeing in the gorge.
Then continue drive to Long Wang Bian Village which is above Haba
Village. Stay in local villager’s house. (2800m) |

Trek up the Haba Mountain for about 15 km to the Base
Camp at the 4000 m, which will take about 7 hours, with yaks taking
your luggage. You will have picnic lunch. Camping at the Base Camp. |

D5 |
Continue climb up for about 6 km to build Camp 1 at
4600m, which will take about 6 hours. Our professional mountaineering
guide will choose the right path for you to climb up. But you have to
take your own luggage by yourself. You will have picnic lunch. Our
guide will set up the Camp 1 for you. Camping. |

D6 |
Get up at 5:00 am, try to climb to the top of the Haba
Snow Mountain at the 5396m, which will take about 5 hours, you will
climb about 4 km, you can leave most of your luggage at the Camp 1,
you just need to take your mountaineering tools, such as the rope, ice
axe, ice pick, etc., you will have a picnic lunch, then trek down to
Camp 1 to take your luggage, then continue trek down to the Base Camp.
Our service clerk at the BC will prepare good meals and waiting for
you. Camping. |

Trek down from Base Camp to the Long Wang Bian Village,
with yaks taking your luggage, after lunch, drive 110 km back to
Shangri-la. Stay in a 3 star hotel. (3200m) |

Trek down from Base Camp to the Tiger leaping Gorge. |

D9 |
Morning visit the Songzanlin Monastery which was built 300 years ago
under the instruction of the 5th Dalai Lama, afternoon
visit the Napa Lake nature reserve where you will see many birds, also
visit a Tibetan village and a Tibetan family. Stay in the 3 star
hotel. |

Take a morning flight from Shangri-la back to Kunming,
then connect your departure flight back home. |

If you need us recording all your
mountaineering process, then we can provide a professional
photographer to follow you all the way and video
photographing you, then make it into a DVD for you. The cost
is 200 usd/person. |
