Recommendation

My husband and I traveled witth Yunnan Expedition. It was a fabulous trip. We trekked in Northern Yunnan, in areas without tourists. Only us and nature. Fantastic.
Our guide was more than flexible, always accommodating. When my husband went home, I stayed behind for another week with our guide; that was super too. 
I can only recommend Jin Fei Bao and his company. We would have traveled again with him this year, except I hurt my leg. So, we will again next year. However, since I go to China every year to volunteer teach, I will meet him in Kunming on my way.
