The One-Thousand-Island
Lake, otherwise known as Qingxi Lake, was a large-scale lake created
after the construction of Xinanjing Reservoir in 1959, which is
located between Chunan and Jiande counties of Zejing Province
on the upper reach of Xinanjing. There are numerous isles on the
lake.
The surface area of the lake covers 570 square kilometers, which holds 17820 cubic meters of water. Its water is crystal clear interwoven with branching streams and beautiful scenery all over the lake; its vegetation occupies over 90% and therefore it is also known as the "Green Thousand - Island Lake". Longshan, Mishan, Jieshou and Longchuan are the famous scenic spots in the lake area.
