Shuihu
(Water Margin) Town is situated on the banks of the Tai Lake in
Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province.
Shuihu Town is the main location where the
filming of the Story of Shuihu (Water Margin) was made by the
Film Team of the CCTV. The location for making the film was
constructed around the Tai Lake accessible to both water route
and land route, which is situated between the "Tang City"
and the "City of the Three Kingdoms". The land area
occupies 36 hectares in which there are more than 100 scenic
spots, big and small.
Based on a grand scale, full of power and
grandeur, the landscape of Shuihu Town is divided into urban
area, prefecture area, Liangshan area and waterside area with
various halls and towers and pavilions dotted here and there.
The  winding corridors and waterside pavilions are intermingled
with each other by deep secluded paths; local folk markets are
scattered in picturesque disorder and mountain villa appear
to be pure and honest, straight forward and uninhibited. It
is a combination of historic significance, good tastes and recreation.
It is a nice place for tourists to visit.
