1. General requirements:
(1). One completed application form, it can be obtained from ACCEC Travel by fax.
(2). Two 2" x 2" photos.
(3). Passport with validity no shorter than 6 months and more than two unused visa pages;
2. Other requirements:
(1). For tourist visa: Clearly copy of flight ticket if available or itinerary.
(2). For business visa, long term work visa and multiple visa: An invitation
letter/telegram from the Chinese Government or Government- authorized Chinese company.
(3). For student visa: An application form for international students (JW202) issued by the State Education Commission of China and a notification of admission from the receiving college with the seal of the commission.
(4). For Government officials and members of missions traveling to China for official business or accreditation: An official note from the Government or the mission.
(5). For students and those on business whose stay in China exceed 6 months: A notarized health certificate.
(6). For transit visa: A valid visa to the country of destination, a letter of invitation or an air ticket.
(7). Children of Chinese descent should provide parents' passport and green card copy as well as children's birth certificate copy.
(8). Applicants whose birthplace is China must provide Chinese character name.
3. Type, Validity and Visa Fee for US passport holders:
(1). The most frequently issued types of visa:
Tourist Visa "L"---Tourist visa
Foreigners wishing to travel to China should apply to a local Chinese embassy or consulate for tourist visas (L). In the event of a group tour of more than nine persons, the organizer has to apply for group tourist visas(L). Foreigners requesting to visit Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Xiamen Special Economic Zones may apply directly to visa authorities in these zones for tourist visas to special economic zones. Foreign tourist groups from Hong Kong for a 72-hour visit to the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone are exempt from entry visas. When applying for a visa, foreigners are required to answer certain questions and go through the following formalities:
"F"--- Business visa
"Z" ---Work visa "X" --- Student visa
(2)The number of entry, the validity, duration of stay of "L" and "F visas and the fee are as follows:

4. Special Notes:
* The visa fee for U.S. citizens and other countries citizens residing in U.S. are same as above.
(1). The visa officer has the authority to refuse any visa applications or grant any visa with a
shorter duration or validity than the above indicated without being obliged to make any
explanation.
(2). In case anyone applies for longer duration or validity, besides completing the application form, the applicant is required to make an explanation in writing.
(3). "Z" visa or "X" visa is always for a single entry with 3 months validity and the duration of stay is marked as "000". Holders of such visas are required to go to the local Public Bureau for residence formalities within a week after arriving in China.
The visa fee for U.S. citizens and other countries citizens residing in U.S. are as same as above.
(4). Only accept cash or cashier check/money order or company/personal check (made payable to ACCEC Travel). Any payment is not refundable if the application is refused or withdrawn.
5. Processing time: (not include mailing time)
Seven working days. In case of emergency, evidence has to be shown (letter of invitation, telegram or fax from China) and approval obtained from the visa officer and an extra fee charged: next day $50 , and third day $30.
6. Mailing application.
(1) Applicants, residing in USA.
(2). Application must fully meet the above-mentioned requirements.
(3). Self-addressed return envelope with sufficient postage for mail service.
(4). We shall not be responsible for any mishandling of mail by Post Office or any delivery service.
(5). For safety purpose, Certified mail is suggested.
